My decision made, I clicked Jason’s icon and then clicked Visit. A few moments later I was on Jason’s homestead and had gained 1 energy point, 1 cloth, and 25 coins.

I realized that Jason’s homestead had improved a lot. Now he had a proper enclosure for his farm animals and he even had a cabin ready while mine was still under construction. What’s more he had jumped from a mere level 4 to level 9 and was at the top of all my neighbors. I guess I should have been more frequent here but I suppose that’s a price one pays for real life. (Not that I mind!)
I quickly located an oak tree and clicked it 5 times to complete one of the two tasks of the Chop Neighbors Trees goal.

Then, I decided to visit Susan, my namesake. Once there I got another cloth, another energy point, and another 25 coins.

I wasn’t surprised by the fact that Susan had also surpassed me and had jumped from level 5 to level 8. But it was also apparent that she hadn’t visited her homestead for some time as trees had overgrown there. But she also had a large farm animal enclosure and a crop of peas.
Initially, I thought I would just complete the task but then I saw that one of her pea plantations were wilted and decided to tend to her crops instead. It wouldn’t be fair on my part to be too selfish and it’s not as if I don’t have other opportunities to complete my goal. So I did just that and the rest is for another post.
